Zack Sklar – Owner/Chef Peas & Carrots Hospitality
A graduate of the prestigious Culinary Institute of America, chef Zack Sklar began his career catering parties throughout the Hudson Valley in New York. Word spread quickly, and soon Sklar was booking everything from intimate dinners to 250 person events. After a visit home to the suburbs of Detroit, Sklar realized that there was an unmet need for high quality catering options in the area. In 2007, Sklar established Cutting Edge Cuisine. Today his catering company operates as one of Michigan’s premier caterers with clients including Google, Amazon, GM, Mercedes-Benz, and Microsoft.
In 2012, Sklar opened Social Kitchen & Bar, an upbeat restaurant with a lively bar crowd and thoughtful comfort food in downtown Birmingham, MI. Following the success of Social, Sklar and Peas & Carrots Hospitality have gone on to open 12 more restaurants in the Detroit area and Chicago. Upcoming in 2019 Sklar will open a chef inspired, revamped Como’s Restaurant in Ferndale, MI.
